26 May 2024 for 10 nights then 9 June for 10 nights.

The following letter has been sent out by PKC regarding the section of road.

A93 - Broughdearg - Tigh-na-Coille, Glenshee Carriageway Resurfacing

Perth & Kinross Council plans to undertake essential carriageway resurfacing works on the A93 between Broughdearg and Tigh-na-Coille. The works will be split into 2 phases as detailed below starting at the Broughdearg site from Sunday 26 May 2024. The works will be conducted under a night-time road closure between 8pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday, and will take approximately 20 nights to complete the works for both phases.

The A93 will be open to traffic during the day out with the road closure times and will be open over the weekends from 6am Friday until 8pm Sunday.

Phase 1: - A93 Broughdearg to Polgorm – Sunday 26 May 2024 – 10 Nights Road Closure 8pm – 6am, Sunday to Thursday

This section is from the Broughdearg junction to the property known as Polgorm. The extents of these works are shown in red on the enclosed location plan 3511818_01.

Phase 2: - A93 Tigh-na-Coille to Polgorm – Sunday 9 June 2024 – 10 Nights Road Closure 8pm – 6am, Sunday to Thursday

The second section is from the access to the property known as Polgorm, to the property known as Tigh-na-Coille. This phase of the works will tie into the section of new road surface that was laid in 2023. The extents of these works are shown in blue on the enclosed location plan 3511818_01.

If the works at the Broughdearg section finish ahead of schedule, the contractor will start at the Tigh-na-Coille section earlier to reduce the overall duration of the works. Delayed Office Opening for Employee Training This office will be closed from 8.45 am - 11.00 am on the first Thursday of each month.

Any changes to the closure times will be notified via the Perth & Kinross Council social media platforms and the works advisory signage will be updated.

During the night-time road closure, the official diversion will be via A93 - Rattray - A926 - Kirriemuir - A90 - Stonehaven - A957 - Banchory - A93 and vice versa. This is also detailed on the enclosed location plan 3511818_01.

During both sections of the works, vehicle access to properties within the site extents will be maintained when the works allow and is safe to do so, however, we cannot guarantee immediate access/egress from properties when the carriageway is being excavated or when the new hot road material is being laid. On waste collections days, please present your bin as normal. Access for pedestrians and emergency service vehicles will always be maintained.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for your co-operation. If you require any further information or have any queries, please contact Charlie Haggart on 01738 476476.
