The Alyth Camera Club started meeting in 2010 when a group of individuals met on a regular basis to further develop their passion for photography.

2021, saw the club renamed as the Alyth and Blairgowrie Camera Club, to better reflect where our members came from. We meet weekly on a Tuesday night from 2nd September to the end of April (19.00 to 21.00) in the upstairs room at St Catharine’s Community Hall on George Street in Blairgowrie. We are a small club having around 25 members of mixed photographic ability and experience, from Black and White wet chemistry, to Digital Cameras and also members who only use their Mobile Phone camera to get their Images.

We are always looking for new members with an interest in photography. Our programme for season 2025/2026 is aimed at developing the photographic skills of Club members, be they novice or experienced and includes: practical sessions, tutorials, guest speakers (various topics), competitions with external judges, slideshows of member’s images, and internal club photo projects.

We are having an exhibition of prints at Alyth and Blairgowrie Libraries in August, please check the individual libraries for opening times, the dates are:

• Alyth Library: 14th August till 30th August.
• Blairgowrie Library: 22nd August till 9th September.
