The Little Book of Going Green
Written by Harriet Dyer, Published by Summersdale Publishers Ltd
This wee book is a real gem – a pocket sized collection of inspiration, facts and suggestions on how to treat the Earth with care. It contains lots of short sections on the many reasons for climate change, on the way humans are harming the environment, explaining clearly what each problem is - with lots of facts and tips on how we can do our bit for the planet.
Each section begins with a quotation, such as:
“We have forgotten how to be good guests, how to walk lightly on the earth as its other creatures do”
- Barbara Ward.
“When the last tree is cut down, the last fish eaten and the last stream poisoned, you will realise that you cannot eat money.”
- Cree Indian proverb.
This little book was printed in 2018 and sadly, remains absolutely relevant now.
Highly recommended for all, families, individuals and businesses, climate emergency sceptics and those already committed to reducing our human impact on the Earth.
Climate Café normally gives a new copy of each book reviewed to Book Lore in Blair, however, at the moment we can’t do this so if interested, contact us through our website or email us at info@climatecafeblair.org.uk and the first person to contact us will get the free copy!
