May Book Review: Loved Clothes Last
Date: Wednesday 19 May
Loved Clothes Last by Orsola de Castro is informative and practical - the perfect combination.
This book gives a lot of background information on the fashion industry. Always thought provoking and at times very disturbing I felt that I got an insight into the true cost ( financial, humanitarian and environmental) of the clothes we wear.
Balanced with this Orsola de Castri gives many practical and fun tips on how to extend and value the life of our clothing. From sharing clothes to proud visible mending - a small change of mindset can have a big impact. As she says " Far from being part of the problem we can all, enthusiastically and creatively, become part of the solution"
I thoroughly recommend this book but be warned - it could change your wardrobe for ever!
