A popular showcase event highlighting everything that is going on in Blairgowrie and Rattray is set to return for a third year.

The event, which will take place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from noon to 2pm in Blairgowrie Town Hall, is being organised by Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust (BRDT) and offers community groups, event organisers and associations in Perthshire’s largest town an opportunity to highlight the work they are doing in the town.

More than 40 community organisations took part in the 2024 event, many of whom have signed up to attend again this year.

Lesley McDonald is operations officer with BRDT. She said: “The Town Event is always a great afternoon, with lots of community groups and organisations providing information and updates on the work that hard working volunteers do in the town.

“It also provides an opportunity for those who go along to get involved with some of the initiatives and projects carried out by the groups.

“Whether you are interested in supporting the development of the town as a board member of BRDT, or in coaching young people in sporting activities, crocheting with like-minded people over a cuppa, getting involved with local amateur dramatic productions or music groups, helping to keep our town beautiful, or helping out in the BaRI Food and Refill Store, we’re sure there is a group that will appeal to you!”

The event is free to attend, and refreshments will be available.

Anyone who is interested in finding out more about the event, including how to take part, should contact the Trust by emailing admin@discoverblairgowrie.co.uk for further details.
