Welcome to Blairgowrie & Rattray - a historic market town with the River Ericht flowing through the centre providing riverside walks and Salmon and Trout fishing.
We have an abundance of outdoor activities on our doorstep including golf, fishing, hill walking, cycle routes, kayaking, husky rides and so on!
As you can see from the map, there is lots to see and do in the surrounding area making us an ideal base to explore Scotland!
With over 80 shops and 140 service businesses plus around 140 community groups and organisations, there is always something going on to interest you whether you live in or are visiting the town.

These are free and don't require booking at the moment
Bookbug is the Scottish Book Trust’s national Early Years programme. Sessions are free, friendly, fun sessions of songs, rhymes and stories for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families and carers to enjoy together.
Our sessions are suitable for ages 0+.
There are gentle songs for bouncing babies and loads of chances to move for toddlers who’ve found their feet! There are also stories and probably a few rhymes you’ll remember from your own childhood.

Papercrafts Group

Details: Join our weekly crafting session every Tuesday morning for some paper crafting fun.

Bring your own paper craft project to work on and maybe try some something new all while having some fun and meeting new people.
We will be trying out a range of paper crafts throughout the year including collage, decoupage, card making, origami and welcome any ideas and suggestions you would like to have a go at. We will also have some guest tutors, and you could also share your own skills and knowledge with the group.
Materials will be available as well as refreshments and lots of crafty chat.
No booking is required just come along as and when you fancy.

The "Shed" welcomes anyone over 18 (not just men) in the wider Blairgowrie and surrounding districts.
We offer a friendly, safe, pressure-free place to meet new people, learn skills, and fight loneliness and isolation. We are especially encouraging more women to join us and share ideas for activities you’d love to see us provide. There is no pressure to take part, and you can simply pop in for a blether and a cup of tea.
Your first few weeks are free; this lets you check out if it's the type of activity/group you would like. If you wish to join, there is a £40 annual membership fee.
If you are Community/Charity Group looking for a space to hold meetings, talk to us, we are willing to help if we can.
