Information about this bench
This bench is a one half of a 100 year old pew! The other half is also on the trail.
It has been designed to show the bright colours of Susie Black Fitness - a message from Susie:
As someone who loves inclusive activity, knowing that there is a surfeit of benches to help people walk more is fantastic. The fact that these benches are also designed to help people chat more is even better. I find it easy to talk to complete strangers but I know that not everyone feels the same. It's nice to know that you can sit down and spark up a conversation, even better to know that you can listen to what others have to say.
The history and fundraising that made the bench trail available is important and inspiring. Jordan's story, the walkathon and the benches are a community-wide acknowledgement of the importance of connection. I hope that the vibrancy and variety of the benches continue to remind us all to listen and chat more.
