Location: Glenisla Village Hall car park, by the River Isla.
From the Car Park at Glen Isla Community Hall, walk towards the play park and keep going, you will find the bench near the river in a fab spot.
Information about this bench
This bench has been carved from a conifer by Alec McMicking, one of Jordan’s youth rugby coaches. When they were younger, Jordan and his friends played in the woods where this tree grew just a few miles along the road from where this bench is located. The tree was brought down by Storm Arwen just days before Jordan’s 18th birthday.
A message from CraicN Communications
CraicN Communications is proud to have been part of the amazing community effort in support of Jordan’s Challenge and the Hart family. Our boys used to play rugby with Jordan and they shared a love of Lego, Doctor Who and all things Marvel.
Telling people’s stories is what we do at CraicN Communications each and every day and we know how important it is to talk and to listen to each other. That is why we are delighted to have created this bench for Jordan as part of the Bench Trail to help raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health.
As well as Jordan, this bench is also for everyone who may be struggling, everyone who is a survivor and anyone affected by suicide in any way.
To quote the Doctor, laugh hard, run fast and be kind. Always.
